The minute the Commitment Ceremony was over, Ruth demanded that we “party,” she said she wanted to sing Elvis’s “Blue Suede Shoes” with Wayne, and Ray Gifford, who did the music for the ceremony, obliged. Ray was great, he sang at the opening and closing, and helped all of us party.
We had flowers, food and music, I think I might have a shot at being a wedding (or ceremony) planner. I love the challenge of learning new things, and trying to do them well. I don’t always succeed, but I always try.
For me, the most emotional moment was the ring ceremony:
