Spring Sneaks In

by Jon Katz

It always seems to me that winter arrives with a nasty bang and SpringĀ  creeps in quite slowly. I think the reason for that is that after the winter, we are impatient for Spring to come, for the grass to green up and shoot up, for the rich colors of the farm to come to life, for the flowers to bloom so I can photograph them, for our old apple tree to bloom.

All of those things are happening this week, finally, and the sweetest of all is the sight of Maria brushing the donkeys. Today looks like Spring and felt like Spring.
