We did a new podcast this morning, Easter Sunday, in many ways it was about our own personal rebirth and resurrection.
I woke up at 5 a.m. or so (maybe 4:30) as I usually do, and instead of lying in bed fretting about money or obligations, I went to Netflix and right off, I found a speech by the sociologist and scholar Renee Brown on courage and vulnerability.
Maria woke up almost immediately and we both listened to the talk together. We felt at times that Brown was speaking directly to us. Vulnerability is important to me and my writing, and also to Maria.
We decided our conversation ought to be shared and after breakfast, we sat down in my study and did a podcast.
I think it is an important conversation to share, and our new podcasts (being registered now on Google and Itunes) will hopefully carry the feel and reality of our conversations, and also of life in the country.
Our conversations are at the core of our relationship, our lives are one running conversation, and I think a podcast is a perfect new way for us to share the continuing stories and revelations of our lives.
Happy Easter and come and listen. Right here. They will be up weekly. An archive will be published soon on my blog.
The creative life is not for everyone, but vulnerability and courage are inextricably linked for us, and perhaps for others. There is no shame in being frightened or feeling small, the work is to show up.
I am proud to say that we show up. Every day. I hope you enjoy the podcast and let us know: [email protected] or [email protected]. If you like the podcasts and find them valuable, feel free to contribute to their cost via the donation buttons at the bottom of this post. Thanks.
I enjoyed your podcast “Vulnerability.” BTW, Maria, I love your socks in the photo.
