We brought the Blue Birdbath out of the barn and into the garden. Minnie was right on it, taking her morning drink there. The photographer is happy to see it, the Blue Birdbath adds some nice color, which is much appreciated.

The Return Of The Blue Birdbath
by Jon Katz
Jon. Love your pictures that tell a story. Ed Gulley s tin man so strong and steady as he was. Minnie doing this amazing stunt with only 3 legs. The birdbath that will be surrounded by a beautiful flower garden This inspires me for ideas in my own backyard.
We had absolutely gorgeous weather here on Saturday so I, too, brought our bird bath out of the garage and set it up. We bought it 5 years ago from our local garden center and it is exactly the same as yours! It’s now full of water from yesterday’s thunderstorms. We love sitting on the front porch watching the birds, squirrels, and even some passing thirsty dogs help themselves to a drink. I hope the forecast of some SNOW here today is off the mark because I am SO done with snow for another year!
Aren’t you afraid Minnie and the other cat might attack the birds?
Richard, we are aware of the mayhem cats sometimes commit out of doors, but these are barn cats and this is a farm. They are not house pets. Minnie and FLo will almost sure get a bird now and then, it is sad thing to do, but confining these free spirits to the house for the rest of their lives would simply be cruel. They would become angry and disoriented and possibly destructive. Mostly, they hunt in the march for mice (nobody seems to mind how many mice they kill). So not, I am not afraid of animals living their lives, out in nature, it is far worse.
