We have a new WBTN Amazon Wish List.

Community radio is important, and WBTNAM1370, the host of my “Talking To Animals”  program on Wednesdays (one to three p.m.) is one of the few community radio stations left in the Northeast, or anywhere.

Community radio is the people’s radio, it is the last outpost for ordinary people to have access to media, which has been almost entirely corporatized – see what they have done to our civic life.

I do my show on WBTN – a non-profit – in part fo support the idea of community radio. At my suggestion, the station put up an Amazon Wish List, an easy and effective way for people to give money. The station is without much in the way of money, they need everything there is.

So far, it has been quite successful.

The new wish list has four remaining items on it, they range from $4.50 to $229 for a new compressor. Take a look, and help if you can. People can also purchase $10 and $20 gift cards on the wish list, if that is easier for them to do. So take a look. It’s a good cause, it would be a tragedy of there was nothing left in our country for corporate for profit media.
