I was worn out yesterday afternoon, too many chores, too much time out in the cold, too many things racing through my mind. I lay down for what was left of my Peaceful Hour, a time of solitude, meditation and rest, a precious time for me.
I fell into a deep sleep by the fire with a Robert Schumann symphony playing quietly in the background, and I felt a slight pressure on my legs. When I opened my eyes, I saw that Bud had hopped up to keep me company, and was himself dozing on my feet.
I said hello, he turned to look at me, and we both fell back asleep. Not before I took my Iphone out and got a shot. Was this a dream?, I wondered. The photo says otherwise.
I forget to do this peaceful hour thingy..after I read about your post a while back, I thought this was such a wonderful idea..plus capturing your dog with your phone is great..mine just turn away..they know when I get my phone out.
That’s a sweet moment. Our lives with dogs are so dependent upon the trust that we are able to build up between us, day by day, and that photo is evidence of the trust that the two of you generously and genuinely bestow upon one another.
