Tomorrow, from one to three p.m. on WBTNAM 1370, please remember to send me your questions about animals from one to three p.m. You can call me at the station live – 866 406-9286 or 802 442-1010, or you can e-mail me your animal questions anytime, day or night or before during the show: [email protected].
You can send them to me right now, I will read them on the air and talk about them. In the new era, every local station, even the tiny community radio station the show is on, is a national or even international broadcast.
We’ve gotten calls from England, Italy and France. We are growing all the time.
We get remarkable and fascinating questions and stories from all over the country and a good chunk of the world. I do the show with the help of “Maestro” Thomas Toscano, a child prodigy musical genius who studied with Leonard Bernstein and is now the station’s Executive Director. He was born in the Bronx and lived in Brooklyn, and shows it. He has Toscanini’s eyes. He is a fascinating person, a conductor and former opera singer and producer.
It is simple to access the show. First, you can live stream it. Or you can download a Simple Radio or other free App online or from the Apple App Store. If you are busy working, you can hear a podcast of the program by going to WBTNAM.US.
Just download the broadcast – it’s archived by date – and listen.
It is critical for people to call me or message me if this venture is to work – either method is fine. I don’t wish to be talking to myself for two hours, I am too boring for that. Remember, this is community radio. This is your show. It depends on your involvement for its life.
I want the show to work – I love doing it – but I also wish to support community radio, it has never been more important than it is now.
I love talking to people with dogs and animals, it permits me to delve into their issues a bit and actually help them.
We have solved a bunch of problems, from eating poop to excessive barking to leash aggression and regular aggression. We often discuss basic training ideas and issues, including my specialty: calming training, which has settled down many a raucous or out-of-control dog.
And we are good to each other. This is a gentle program, the opposite of the corporate shrieking and fighting media. We are thoughtful, deliberate, and hopefully helpful. We even have fun, like the discussions I had with Maria over the impending death of Socrates, our snail.
I’ve invited Maria to call tomorrow to talk with me about her hypothermia, which she incurred by trying to take care of our animals in a blinding snowstorm.
We are starting to get regular calls, this is bringing the show to depth and life. E-mail me your questions tonight and anytime tomorrow, I will bring them to the station. I also have my smart phone on during the show, you can e-mail me live.
You can also, of course, call me with your questions and animal stories; 866 406 9286 or 802 442 1010. People on getting through.
I think this broadcast can work, we can tell a lot of good stories and help a lot of animals and their people. That’s the idea.
