Three Dogs

by Jon Katz

I like having three dogs, for me that is the best number of dogs to have.More than three is a pack, with all kinds of different issues to deal with.

Three dogs seem to always sort themselves out, at least for me. Red is calm and steady, Fate is excitable, arousable, alway son the move.

Bud is his own category, a family dog, a house dog, a wood stove dog in the winter. They all get along well and are (mostly) well behaved. None of them are aggressive to dogs or people.

They love to share dog beds they eat their meals together, they each get the same treats.

  1. I agree three dogs is just right. My sister has three Aussies and my son has two huskies and a yorkie poo and I have one dog and he gets along with all of them. Three of them are 12 years old, my dog, the yorkie poo and one Aussie and the other four are between four and six years old. My sons female husky is the wild child always busy and into something and trying to escape out of the backyard. I love watching the videos of Fate. I’m glad Red is doing better and will get to go to the Mansion soon and that Bud is training to be a therapy dog.
