We areĀ nothing if not our faces, however old or young or different. As a photographer, I think faces are the most important things that I ever photograph, they speak to identity, personality and individuality.
Bud has one of the most interesting faces of any do I have had. Sometimes, he reminds me of Winston Churchill, sometimes he evokes Edward G. Robinson.
He has a face full of character, I love his yet, I do not think he is especially attractive for a dog, sometimes I think he is just plan ugly. so ugly has to be cute.
His big round eyes are an important feature of his face, so is his square lower jaw and face. It is a strong jaw, a strong personality.
His face gives him great character, and enables him to show attitude – fear, affection, hunger, curiosity. He has definitely grasped the importance of the camera in our relationship, and is happy to stare into the lens when I need him to.
Love that face! Such character and I can see his curiosity!
