Turn Up The Radio: “Talking To Animals…” Is Upon You

by Jon Katz

Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20, is my sixth broadcast of “Talking To Animals.”

The show is on from one to three p.m. on WBTNAM radio, 1370. You can live stream the broadcast here, or by downloading a free radio app like Simple Radio. The Apple App Store has a bunch.

You are invited to call me at 866-406-9286 or, if you live in listening range, by calling 802 442 1010.

If you prefer, e-mail me your questions about dogs, cats, other pets, wild animals. Tomorrow I’m going to talk about my research this week on the truth about dog bites – how many and who does the biting. Did you know the number of dog bites are skyrocketing, and so are the lawsuits?

Tune in. You can also e-mail me your questions, now, tomorrow or while I am on the air. You can also listen to the podcast by doing to WBTAN.US and by downloading the broadcast.

We’ve had calls from all over the country, and I am loving the way the show is going. We are offering $25 “Golden Leash Supporter” sponsorships of individual hours.  You can send the $25 via Paypal on the WBTN site or you can mail $25 (or more if you wish to sponsor more hours) to WBTN, 407 Harwood Hill, Bennington, Vt., 05201.

We’ll identify you and mention any cause, person or animal. So far, we have more than $400 in “Gold Leash” supporters. Hop on in, help community radio.

Station Executive DIrector Thomas Toscano, a music composer and conductor (photo) does the show with me, he is a lot of fun and plenty smart.

And I hope you will send me a question or call the show or listen. All of those are good options. 866-406-9286. Wednesday, one to three p.m.

  1. Hey Jon. I am going to try to call in to your show one of these days soon. Hoping you will read from your book Saving Simon and talk about the history and spirituality of burros as we get closer to Christmas. I am really excited for you. What a great creative outlet. I love radio.

    1. Thanks Janet, would love to hear from you, I don’t think I’ll be reading from my books on the show, but it’s a neat idea. Enjoying your travels very much…I guess it would be a neat idea to talk about the spirituality of donkeys…I hadn’t thought of it…
