Many of you are familiar with Kelly, we helped her move out of her tend and into a comfortable mobile home not too far from work. Every time I see her, I’m glad she’s out of that tent.
Kelly has a special relationship with the Mansion residents, she’s able to connect with them on a personal and emotional level, they trust her and turn to her.
When you work at the Mansion, as an aide or a volunteer, people are shouting your name everywhere you go. I am always touched by Kelly’s patience and affection.
I remember how much Connie, one of the first residents Maria and I got close to, loved Kelly. She always told me she felt like she was the daughter she never had.
Kelly does well by these residents, she is available to them with love and attention, and never seems to tire of it or get annoyed. I can see that the loves what she does, and the Mansion residents sense that and benefit from it.
I miss Kelly very much. I miss the Mansion.
Hi, Christie, we miss you too, hope you are well.
I miss Connie.
Thanks Patsy, life goes on. If I missed everyone who has left the Mansion, I would not be able to work there, but Connie was quite special. I hope you can move on and get to know the many other wonderful people there.
