Maria and I and Bud headed out early to our polling place this morning, voting is usually a quiet and lonely affair here, but the election workers were shocked by the lines and the crowds.
We left Bud in the car of course and voted – it’s a friendly and comfortable process here, it is wonderful to be known. Maria took this photo of us in the car, she asked me if I was okay, she said I looked serious. Perhaps it was the gravity of voting, I was thinking about who I was going to vote for.
But looked pretty serious as well, but he usually does in the car, and he sometimes has this air of gravitas about him. Several wise-asses on Facebook suggested Bud and I were beginning to look alike.
I’ve seen this phenomenon before, people often start to look like their dogs after awhile. Still…
I didn’t take this as a compliment, but when I look at the photograph, I could see their point. I’ll have to ponder that.

I don’t think people start to look like their dogs. I think people are (unconsciously) attracted to breeds that look or act something like them to begin with, and pick their puppies accordingly.
Maybe just little bit of resemblance in the jowl area. However, Jon, you are definitely YOUNGER looking than Bud!!

I don’t know if that theory is true, but I hope it is. People are always saying that Heidi is cute, gorgeous and oh-so-pretty, but not once have any of those terms been used to describe me. ?. Am I jealous? Ummm ….. yup!
That’s why I have Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. People always comment on how beautiful they are!
