Peggie returned from her week-long cruise and trip to Havana, Cuba yesterday, and Bud had his official start doing therapy work at the Mansion. His first job was greeting her, he popped up on her bed on command and snuggled up.
It was a great way to start. Peggie had a blast. She said she was in the cruise ship casino every night, and danced in Havana, as I knew she would
She said she hit on two men on the cruise ship, Mark and Filippo. She said her only complaint was that it was too hot.
A benefactor paid for Peggie and her daughter to take the cruise and go to Cuba, and Peggie, who is in her 70’s and uses a walker (she is also a diabetic with heart disease) didn’t hesitate for a second.
There was much scrambling to get her ready, but the Mansion aides and the Army Of Good got her through it.
Peggie is a great spirit at the Mansion, and one of the reasons I want to buy a Karaoke Machine, she will be one of the first singers at the Mansion (Christmas Party, yes?).
It was great to see Peggie, tanned and happy and exhausted. It was great to see how easily Bud took to therapy work. He was appropriate, calm and affectionate. No jumping, he even walked calmly past Summer the Mansion cat.
