Turns out Bud is not the sweet and timid little creature Carol Johnson thought he was.
He lifts his leg all over the house.
He digs up all the bones and rawhide Fate hid in the yard and eats them.
He pees on the other dog’s food bowl to claim them.
He picks up the shoes and moves them around and stashes them under the dining room table.
He tries to chase the barn cats (and fails.)
HeĀ has definitely gotten over his shyness, he is a pretty great dog.
He is a thug.
Sounds like you have a Demon Dog!! I’m sure he’ll get over all these bad habits. It takes time.
I was out of touch with your column for quite a while – what happened to Gus? Thanks.
Karen, I apologize, but I can’t update my life for every person on Facebook who checks in once in awhile. I write on the blog every day and work hard on it, and if you want to keep up, I’d suggest reading it. Gus died a long time ago.
I pretty much love that you have a thug too! Bud is making things lively. Our 3 year old BC is a 62 lb thug – went from being a shy puppy and pretty much deferring to his older BC sister and then turned 2 AND into a thug. Never a dull moment and although I’ll miss his young energy I am also ready for an adult dog that I can trust. So glad that other people are out solving the problems that these young dogs dig up for us.
