I admit i had a very hard time without my camera, the world did not feel right, I was anxious, irritable and disconnected, it did feel like a part of me was missing. The new camera arrived today, and it is a Canon Mark IV 5D, and I already love it, it takes my work to another level in terms of power, color and detail.

I ran across the road to greet the UPS driver, who was startled and said he’d never seen me smile so excited, Maria said she had rarely seen me smile like I was. She said she felt as if I had gone away for a few days, and perhaps I had.

It seemed only right that my first photo be of her, so her it is, my first portrait with the IV. It is a different camera, I am fortunate to have it. I’ll put up several other photos on the blog tonight and then also publish a small photo album on Facebook.

I am feeling more myself.
