It is a gorgeous Spring day here, sunny, cool, full of color and light and life on the farm. I told Maria I thought this ought to be a day of life.
The sheep were shorn yesterday, and they look lighter and more at ease. A symbol of Spring for us.
In a few minutes, we’ll go visit the Gulleys, bringing lunch, personal journals, art supplies for Ed. I haven’t seen or spoken to Ed since they left on their trip to the Badlands. It will be good to see him.
This afternoon, I’m going to a soccer game for the refugee kids, I’m bring money to help Ali trade in his van for a bigger one, this will give him and the team the freedom they want and need to live their lives.
Somewhere in between, we hope to build an herb mound in the garden. I feel like today is full of life, and I am so fortunate to be in it.
