Of all the animals I have known, border collies and Labs are the two that love life the most, that relish work in all conditions, that have the joy of finding meaningful work to do. The Labrador loves all living things, the border collie loves work. On beautiful days, Red and Fate are happy to just be within sight of the ship, and i realize I have not photographed them enough. They inspire me every day.
Oddly, I found some of the same qualities in Gus and the Boston Terriers I have known. They just love life.
I’m so glad you brought us back to Red and Fate and your pastoral landscapes. Although we have traveled a journey with you, this is where it started for most of us. They, too, inspire us.
