We  brought three things to the Mansion today, three acts of small kindness.

First, we got Jackie a fan for her room. Under state law, the Mansion is not permitted to turn off the heat until June 1, which means none of the air conditioners we bought last summer can be used until then. On warm days, the rooms can heat up. Jackie is sensitive to the heat, so we got her a small circulating fan for her room.

I also brought Peggie a large T-shirt with a drawing of a cat on it, which she loved.

And I brought Wayne a $40 gift certificate from the Battenkill Book Store so he can keep his  reading going.

I love working on that scale.
