I have an idea. Instead of looking at the news in the morning and getting depressed, why not kiss a donkey as a different way to start the day? It is calming, uplifting and loving. We do it every day.

Oh yes! Each of my four cats gets kisses before I leave for work….and I avoid news until a specific (small!) timeslot in the evening. Much better for my mental health to have fur tickling my nose than tweets tickling my brain. Besides — sometimes my cats smell like french toast. Bonus!
I have finally decided to stop watching the news in the morning, and it is the best decision I have made in a long time. Now if I could just find a donkey to kiss……
