Meet Socrates 2, a snail we got to replace Socrates 1, who died over the weekend of unknown causes (snails are fragile creatures). Maria is loving her snails – that shouldn’t really be a surprise – and I confess I am finding them much more interesting than I thought.

Socrates 2 in in the first tank, the old tank, he is moving to the new tank, a bigger one, later this week. Fried and Diego are still there. Socrates 2 is a marble white, I would imagine he will be a potholder shortly.
