It is not a veterinary term or a social media term, it’s my term that I use to gauge the health of my dogs. I call it “Internal Energy” and it is when I look to see the dog’s vitality, alertness, and engagement with the world. For the last few weeks, I didn’t see it in Gus and became increasingly concerned about him.

Since we tried some new nutrition and other protocols this week, I do see it again in him, he seems very much himself, not a sick dog at all. We are entering our second regurgitation free day and I am hopeful. Come and see. Gus’s “internal Energy,” his spark of life, his sense of vitality, is returning.
