A Race Through The Cold And Snow

A Race Through The Cold And Snow

It was about 10 degrees this morning, Tuesday and Wednesday night will be 20 to 25 degrees colder than that – in the Midwest even colder. Gus and  Fate didn’t really seem to notice, they both love to tear through the deeper snow, and to my surprise, Gus can keep up with Fate, who moves like lightning.

I see Gus’s feet get cold in the snow – yes, we are getting booties – but he loves being outside and neither of the seems to care about the cold, at least not yet. I love seeing the two of them run, I think Fate would be happy to live outside near the sheep if she could.

They tore around the pasture for a good long while, it was a joy to watch. This morning, Maria and I are going to pay a Christmas visit to her mother, about the only holiday family ritual for either one of us. We had a wonderful Christmas, I hope everyone reading this did as well.
