We set out into our own woods this morning across the Gulley Bridge, and into the woods, it was a gray and gloomy morning, the brush was thick, we had to hack a path through for us. The dogs loved it out there, especially Fate. I called Maria Daniella Boone, she was the Pathfinder, hacking away with her clippers. It will be difficult to walk in these woods in the summer between the ticks and bugs and brush, but we have it at least three seasons out there. More explorations to follow. This is the first time I have been able to walk out there, Maria has been out there with the dogs. It is eerie there, but beautiful and restful. You can see the farm through the trees.
