Sandy and Brian Adams came by with 30 more bales of hay this morning, we have four new sheep and a hungry pony and we will need more hay than we thought. It is wonderful to have such good people with a farm right up the road, they have a barn full of hay and I can relax about the supply for this winter. We have some brutally cold days coming up at the end of this week, and we will be feeding second cut hay to donkeys and sheep and pony – it gives them energy for the brutal cold.
Fate, who thinks everything is her business and who loves everyone, jumped up on the hay bales to say hello to Sandy. We are fortunate to know these good and hard-working farmer, it is comfort to know they are around. Their daughter is Cassandra, from the Cambridge Valley Vets, it is great to have her around. It is the best feeling to have a barn full of good and fresh hay.
