We are settling into the pre-winter weather. I just ordered 30 more hay bales from Sandy and Bryan Adams, mostly first cut, a few second cut in case the winter is harsh. The pattern is familiar, snow overnight, rain and ice into the morning, some melting in the afternoon, then we repeat the same thing all over again.

It’s time for me to try and capture the special beauty of the winter pasture. My first winter upstate, I was buried in snow for months. We are in a different time. Every phase of weather has its own beauty, I am looking to capture it.
