We often walk on this country road a mile or so from the farm, and sometimes there are paths in the woods we take up into the hills. When we came out the other day, we were looking across a vast cornfield at our farm, at Bedlam Farm, from the south, and that is a perspective not often seen on our blogs.
We both looked at the farmhouse, and then at each other, and we both said, almost at the same time, how grateful we are to have that farmhouse. When we met, we were both lost, and soon we had nothing. But we are so much richer than we were before, when we had so much, and our lives were so empty and loveless.
