TheĀ Gang Of Four was out in a corner of the pasture this morning, I am struck by the poised, imperious and entitled demeanor of the Romney sheep. They move with our flock, but they stay together and they seem sometimes to be turning up their noses at the ordinary sheep. As their wool grows and reveals itself to be beautiful and distinctive, they look with some disdain at the dogs, they stare directly into my camera, as if in wonderment at my daring to be there.
They are sheep with attitude, they have enriched the farm. I suggested to Maria that they are snooty, but she says they are just being dignified.
