Happy to report that Robin Span Jaffe entered the world at ll:51 p.m. Friday, weighing 7 lbs, 20 ounces. She came out yelling. Mother and child are doing beautifully, it was a natural birth without complications after a long and tumultuous day. I’m going to talk to my granddaughter shortly and welcome her myself.
I am familiar with that intent and purposeful gaze, she is demanding to know what the hell is going on. Emma was a trooper, her husband Jay messaged that she “did amazingly well, got through it without pain meds. Tough as nails.” All right.
I didn’t get too much sleep, but am happy for Emma and Jay, and I wish Robin a full and meaningful life, full of love and purpose. She is off to a great start. I have no plans to get to New York in the next few days, I’ll let the other relatives have time with Robin and let Emma and Jay settle into their new life. Both are very happy.
Wait until she sees a donkey up close.
