The key to confrontations like this is understanding that sheep have no stomach for a long battle with a dog, especially one as agile and intelligent and determined as a border collie.Border collies will not quit, and they are lean and fast, unlike sheep, and will almost always outrun and out think them. With sheep, it’s fight or flight, and if they can’t run away, they freeze and accept their fate.

It isn’t pretty like it is on TV, it is the real world of real animals. I love working with border collies, they always get their man, as it were.
