They call it the Washington County Recycling Station, most of us call it the dump. In the summer, the dump smells like a dump, that is the nature of things, not matter how you dress it up. The dump was collecting metal this week and last, the word is China is not buying as much of it as they once did, it is piling up.

Our friend Bob Hersey works at the recycling station, he is forever helpful, friendly (and a great love of Fate) and I asked  him to stop hauling trash for a second so I could get his portrait. This seemed like the right one in the right place, he will most likely be in my portrait show at the Round House Cafe in September.
