My Infrared camera is challenging me to re-think the idea of landscape, the interplay of shadow and light and contrast makes me see the reality of the old barn very clear, and also captures the energy and drama of light, tree, barn and sky. IR photography is called the photography of the unseen, because the camera sees more things than the human eye can see on the spectrum of light.
In a sense, this becomes a kind of Xray, it sees the light of the world, but is blocked by clouds and objects and old wood barns. To me, it evokes a kind of color and helps me see the world in a different way. I am eager to learn more, but must be honest. This kind of photography is hard to learn.
