We have found a new and permanent home for the birdbath, today we moved it back to the pasture fence, in between a Rose Of Sharon and a hydrangea, it will soon be enveloped in stems and flowers, it belongs in a garden, not in the open ground. The birdbath is old, it graced a 200-year-old farm that no longer exists. It lived in the front garden of the first Bedlam Farm, Izzy was buried beneath it.
It connects us to time and space, and finally, it is where it ought to be. It is remarkable how long it takes to make a home.
