If you work with border collies around sheep, it is  crucial to have lots of fresh cool water around. Border collies are stoics and fools sometimes, they will run and run until they keel over or get heat stroke, in warm weather we have tubs of water for Fate and Red to climb into.

Fate uses the fresh water for the pony and donkeys and sheep after she works in the pasture, her tongue is usually hanging off of the ground, she is ready to get back to work in about three minutes.
