I woke up tired this morning and balance, I thought I might be getting sick. The trip to New York was exhilarating, but also tiring. It is raining outside, cold and gloomy, Spring is coming slow and hard this year. For the first time in months, I didn’t get to my blog until after lunch, and I feel flushed and weary. I took my new 35 mm lens and put it on my Canon 1DX to see what might happen, and I love this shot if the windowsill gallery in the kitchen on a rainy day.
The kitchen is a 50’s, Beaver Cleaver kind of kitchen, we like it that way, it has a lot of character. On a cold and rainy day, there is little light in the kitchen, but there is always color and light on every windowsill in a house where Maria lives. I was surprised at the new collection of small flowers and plants in new vases and little jars. Wonder Woman is there, the flowers seem to love the indirect light there. The kitchen utensils seem iconic, like the kitchen itself. The lens picked up on the color even in the dim light, and I love the shading this lens offers, and the depth. We shall be good friends, this lens and I.
