“I believe in strong women. I believe in the woman who is able to stand up for herself. I believe in the woman who doesn’t need to hide behind her husband’s back. I believe that if you have problems, as a woman you deal with them, you don’t play victim, you don’t make yourself look pitiful, you don’t point fingers. You stand and you deal. You face the world with a head held high and you carry the universe in your heart.” – C. Joy Bell
Kelly, the waitress and bartender at Foggy Notions (The Bog) says she is getting famous, people come into the bar and restaurant asking for her. She says this with a twinkle, I think she is kidding, but the there is some magic to my blog and I hope people do come to meet her, she is worth a trip and a good burger.
Lots of people message if they don’t see Kelly on the blog for too long a time. People ask me why I love to photograph her, and I say there are two reasons. She has one of the most natural and radiant smiles I know, and that is worth a photo anytime, and she is also a strong woman.
She looks right at the camera, and doesn’t fuss, blink or show a good side. Strong women are like that, they look you in the eye, they stand up for themselves, and I think they carry the universe in their big hearts. My wife is like that, she also has a radiant smile and carries the universe in her heart.
