We have launched a new system of voluntary payments for people who wish to support my work and to pay for the writing and photography that appears on the blog. The blog is free to anyone who can’t afford to pay or doesn’t wish to, you can receive a free subscription every morning y workvia e-mail by inserting your e-mail address at the box in the top left of the Farm Journal Page. You can also now pay me for my work. Writers like me are increasingly earning their living through blogs and online writing.
I wish to be relevant in the future, you will never hear me whining about the good old days. If you do, shoot me.

My blog was started in 2007, is growing rapidly – there are four million hits a year and roughly 350,000 unique visitors. I still write books, but publishing has changed radically.
The idea of paying for creative work online, it is relatively new. But it is important for writers and artists and musicians. it is the new world, and I intend to be a relevant part of that. The idea is called micro-marketing. If even a small number of people contribute a small amount, writers like me can survive and continue their work.
The blog is now the focal point of my writing about my life and about the joys and sorrows and issues relating to animals in our lives and in our world. You can choose from several options – $5 a month, or $10 a month, or $75 a year in one payment. You can cancel your account or payments at any time.
No financial information of any kind is stored here, and I have no access to your account. I can’t authorize payments or cancel them, for your protection and my sanity, only you can do that, and it is simple.
The blog is the joy of my creative life, it is the right medium for me and I update it at least once a day with rare exceptions. Usually more than once a month. Please check out the voluntary payment page and see if it calls out to you. Writing and publishing have changed, and I am changing with them.
This blog is very precious to me, but it is expensive to maintain and it needs some expensive upgrades, especially for mobile users. My words and photography are free for use to use in any way you wish, I don’t bookmark anything. For those who are paying me for my work, I thank you, and I thank everyone else for thinking about.
