Last night, we had friends over for dinner. I made three pizzas. One was pear and goat cheese, the other was a veggie medley – tofu, red peppers, kale, tomato, squash, romano cheese. The third was pepperoni (I actually bought it at the Round House). I had a lot of wine for me, we talked easily and openly for several hours. This is my favorite kind of evening, one of the things I most love to do. Lots of trust between us, ease and comfort.
All three pizzas were gone, made me feel good.
Maria also, I think, loves this kind of evening as much as I do. Nourishing, and meaningful. These funky old candlesticks were brought out lit up last night, one burned down the other didn’t. This morning, the bright sunlight came in through the window and lit them up again, in a different way. It reminded me of last night.
