This morning, after my class ended at Pompanuck Farms, I drove home in the middle of a wild wind and rain storm. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the most beautiful rainbow and grabbed my camera and jumped out of the car and ran after it. It was still raining but the sun had just broken out of the clouds and tried to keep my camera dry and take some photos and looked through the window and saw Red, my companion and soulmate, sitting in the backseat watching me, as he usually does with his intense and unwavering stare.
I took the photo and then, later, I realized it was an unwitting self-portrait, me and Red, yet a revealing one in it’s own way. The picture surprised me.
