Every morning, a gathering. Today, the sun came up right through the hay. We slept late, went to the Round House for brunch – a vegetarian frittata that was delicious. Maria is out with her pony, I’m heading to Bejosh Farm to try and persuade Ed Gulley to join my writing class. He’s interested, and I loved some of the writing he sent me. I’m afraid he will have to learn to type.

Tonight, friends coming over to dinner, I told Maria I feel like Interstate 87, a bit straight Thruway, I am calm and focused and content today. I love the gathering of the animals in the morning, all of us come together. We need to see animals to keep them in our world.
