We got back this afternoon from Brattleboro, a short and sweet trip. We had a great dinner at a new Turkish restaurant on Main Street, saw a movie “Sisters.” It was truly dreadful, two very funny people – Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler – debased themselves with this obnoxious, loud and relentlessly puerile attempt at humor. We love raunchy slapstick, we laughed once. We almost walked out when Amy’s hunky new boy friend got a trophy stuck in his rectum and she spent many long minutes trying to pull it out. I can’t remember ever wanting to walk out of a movie.

Where are the Farrelly brothers when we need them?.

Otherwise, we had an Asian food festival, haunted some thrift shops, slept late, read much. It was too cold to walk long or farm.  A perfect One Day vacation.
