I’ve decided to call it the Frida Kahlo Memorial Bathroom, after Maria’s favorite artist, and a brilliant and brave spirit who brought great color and daring to her work. We’re sticking with the orange trim, are thinking of a bright Red for the walls above the blue tiling. I love the hot, warm and rich colors, we both agreed not to be conservative, to light the bathroom up with color. We’ll probably wait a couple of days  before adding the Red paint, but it will be done before New Year’s for sure. Maria has done an amazing job of making this humble little bathroom – last touched in the 50’s, into this work of art.

The best thing on a cold and rainy day, but enough. Time for reading, music and peace.
