Maria seemed a little low to me today, so I went into town to get some Round House soup for lunch and a pendant from the Artisan’s store on Main Street. This was Fate’s first excursion into stores while I was shopping. She got excited, jumped on one or two people, then got into the idea of it. I put her in a lie down while I paid for the things I bought and she watched me closely, but didn’t move.

I am realizing that once she gets past her excitement, she can settle down into a long and trustworthy calm. She loves people, and is very excited to see them. But when staying is part of the rhythms of work, she is grasping it. I need to do more of it with her. She did very well today, we had a good time in town. We went to the bookstore and the Round House Cafe as well.
