For Christmas, Maria is offering 74 skeins of yarn from the Bedlam Farm sheep. She is selling each skein for $24 plus shipping., they will be offered for sale on her website at noon today (Tuesday), fullmoonfiberart. This has become one of our favorite bi-annual rituals. Our sheep are exercised (for sure) well fed and cared for and it is great to see how the texture and color changes from shearing to shearing.

We take the wool to the Maple View Alpaca Farm in Brandon, Vt., they have a beautiful cleaning and handling facility there. We are figuring out how to keep the wool clean so it’s easier to spin and clean it. Red and Fate do a great job of keeping the sheep fit.

We got a lot of yarn this year, there is no roving, but Maria can explain all of that.
