Ponies are notoriously headstrong and independent. Many people don’t know that ponies were often used as war horses – Attila the Hun rode one across Asia – and ponies like Chloe are often used as work animals. They are strong and very hardy. Chloe is sweet, but very impatient in the morning to get some carrots and some way. If I take too long, she paws the ground, chews the gate, snorts and whinnies. She does not live to please, but is calm, smart, friendly. As long as she is in the mood.
