Humility: Your Smarter Than Me

Humility is the pathway to learning and to spirituality, I believe. It is the enemy of despair, the truly humble person knows he or she is not important enough to despair.  Humility permits us to listen, not to shout, to feel, not to hate, to learn, not to stagnate. Humility makes love possible, because you can only find love when you live in the needs and desires of another, not yourself.

At the Williams College Museum Of Art Saturday, I saw a piece of art that speaks to humility, it’s by Cary S. Leibowitz. Everyone suffers more than I do, everyone is smarter than me. I don’t care either.
