Fate encountered a small snake on Macmillan Road this morning, she learned a few lessons about work and life. Fate tried herding the snake, giving it the eye and the crouch. That didn’t work. Then she barked at the snake and circled it and jumped up and down. Then she looked at me for assistance, I said you are on your own, I don’t do snake herding. Then she barked for awhile and that didn’t work either.
The snake was a brave thing, a match for her, it hissed and wriggled and waved it’s tongue at Fate, and Fate was startled and unsure and she kept jumping back. But Fate does not quit and she kept at it, coming close to the snake, trying to figure out how to get it to move.
The snake took matters into it’s own hands and started slithering off the road. Maria wasn’t there, but I channeled her, I picked the snake up and tossed it into the grass by the side of the road. This emboldened Fate who charged towards the grass. But the snake had vanished, this completely confounded Fate. She had never seen a sheep vanish, I don’t think she got the concept. I had to call her off three times to get her to leave and get into the car. Lessons learned all around, I have to say it was a lot of fun to watch. I tried to not laugh to protect her dignity, but I couldn’t help it a few times.
