Lulu’s Crossing, for those who don’t know, was named for our donkey Lulu. After we built a bridge to the back pasture, Lulu refused to cross because the dirt wasn’t solid enough, she wouldn’t cross for weeks until we got a tractor in and built a new path. You can’t make a donkey do a thing they don’t want to do. In the middle of this sunny day, we came out and found the sheep out in the back pasture.
Fate came running out to sit with them, Red came gliding up to keep an eye on his flock (maybe to watch out for Fate also, which he often does) and then Maria appeared with Chloe. We all stood there for a bit, I liked the scene very much. We all ended up there more or less by accident, but it felt right.
