This morning, I did what I call silent lessons, I let Fate in with the sheep and the donkeys and the pony, and take a vow of silence. I say nothing, offer commands, I just move back and forth on the other side of the sheep. she balances herself against me. She can experiment, sit with the sheep while they graze, learn how to move them if she wishes. She did that this morning, she went “away” in a graceful and appropriate out run. I did say “good, Fate, good away,” but other than that, I said nothing.
I do two or three silent lessons a week. They are good for her, she has nothing to do but deal with sheep.
