Animals are a gift to people, they belong with us and we to them. Think of the gifts they give us:

– The joy of love. They open our hearts.

– The gift of work. They keep sheep away, help the blind, haul our goods, carry us, give us food, wool.

– They guard and protect us.

– They heal our wounds.

-They connect us to Mother Earth, and remind us of our obligations to her.

– The ease our loneliness.

– They comfort the blind, the old and the infirm.

-They make us smile.

– They show us the power of harmony, call us to come together and save our world.

– They touch children, fuse the hearts of lovers.

– They show us how to nurture.

– They do stupid tricks with us and lift our spirits.

– They are our partners in the world.

When they are taken away, we lose their gifts, the light and magic goes with them.
