Noses are important to donkeys, they are soft and sensitive, they smell with them, sometimes they speak with them. Every afternoon, around 3 p.m., the donkeys come to the gate for their oat cookies, they put their noses forward and bray, sometimes loudly, sometimes softly. I am a sucker for donkeys, they can get me to do almost anything.
